#FoodSimplified – Easter Eggstravaganza

#FoodSimplified – Easter Eggstravaganza
Making things quick and simple is often a key priority for us when we’re in the kitchen, but this doesn’t mean that we have to sacrifice on the taste or the excitement of the food we make!

With simplicity and time in mind, we’ve created a series of short recipe videos which will hopefully inspire you to create in the kitchen.

As Easter is very nearly upon us, our first offering is a quirky twist on a childhood favourite, the chocolate cornflake cake. It’s a great recipe to make with the kids and is suitably indulgent if you’re feeling like treating yourself.

The method couldn’t be simpler – firstly, melt your chocolate (to really get in the Easter spirit you could use Easter eggs) and fold into the cornflakes. Then shape the mixture around a Cadbury’s Crème Egg and place in a cupcake cup to cool. Finally, sprinkle some crushed Mini Eggs over the top for a final touch of decoration!

Ingredients:

4 Crème eggs
4 Easter eggs (milk & white chocolate)
2 Packs of mini eggs
1 Bar white chocolate
1 Bar milk chocolate
Cornflakes cereal

Method:

1. Crush mini eggs
2. Melt chocolate bars
3. Mix with cereal
4. Roll crème egg in mix
5. Roll in crushed mini eggs
6. Put in fridge to cool
