Gorenje sponsors BTCC professional racing driver

Gorenje, the Slovenian manufacturer famed for its creative and effective appliances, is proud to announce its sponsorship of the 2012 British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) with driver Andrew Jordan, who races with Pirtek racing team.

Gorenje’s sponsorship is for the 2012 season of BTCC, and sees the brand’s logo on Andrew’s Honda Civic NGT (next generation touring car), the garage boards, hero cards, posters and race truck. These will be clearly visible to both race visitors and television viewers, providing superb visibility of the Gorenje name. BTCC is currently shown on ITV4, and is the most watched motor sport after F1.  As expected the viewing figures are impressive, with over 19.4 million achieved for the last season, and track day figures of over 325,000 for the season. Online, there are over 70,000 unique visitors to the www.btcc.net  website.

Bill Miller, Gorenje’s Sales and Marketing Director, says: “Sponsoring Andrew is an excellent marketing opportunity for Gorenje, and we believe the television coverage will prove a valuable method for getting the Gorenje name in front of millions of people on a regular basis. BTCC is a very popular sport with an excellent reputation, which continues to grow, and we are thrilled to take part by sponsoring such an exciting driver.”
