#FoodSimplified – Espresso Martini and Strawberry, Nutella and Salted Caramel Canapes
Entertaining friends or dinner guests at home? This type of occasion is often the ideal excuse for some sophistication and elegance, which makes it the perfect situation to dig out the cocktail shaker and whip up some espresso martinis!
What may seem like an unusual marriage of coffee and vodka, actually proves to be a sumptuous combination of bittersweet coffee tones, smoothness and a subtle boozy kick. Pair this classy cocktail with some sweet canapes and you’ve got the perfect antidote to the post-dinner lull in energy.
For the sweet canapes, we suggest you try our strawberry, Nutella and salted caramel bites – they’re the perfect pockets of indulgence to accompany the espresso martini’s elegance!
- 25ml Kahlua (coffee liqueur)
- 50ml vodka
- 25ml espresso
- Salted Caramel
- Coffee beans
- Melt the Nutella in a bain-marie
- Spoon into small cupcake moulds
- Add a spoonful of salted caramel
- Top with more Nutella and a small strawberry
